The brief for this project was to radically reduce the size of the lawn area
to cut down the maintenance required.

A sizeable area was to be provided for entertaining and different levels were required to overcome the sloping site.
		The large deck was sited to take advantage of the late afternoon sun and to provide space for a table and chairs for entertaining.
Planting was designed to give a tropical feel (Tree ferns, Phormiums, Bamboos) with attention centred on foliage plants rather than flowers.
The bamboos were planted to screen neighbouring houses and provide privacy.
