The work you see here features bamboo, planted to screen the garden from adjacent properties, and a decked area suitable for al-fresco dining.

There is also a small water feature and paving across a gravel garden with beach pebbles, leading to the lawn, kept small to reduce maintenance.

All the plants too have been chosen to give year-round interest whilst keeping work to a minimum.

Even relatively small jobs get the benefit of careful planning.

  This garden has two areas of paving, a decorative pergola, and low maintenance planting with 10mm peashingle gravel areas.

A series of diamond patterns link different aspects of the garden, with a simple pergola as a focal point, leading to paths around planting area
