The clients were keen for the garden area (formerly a beer garden) at the front to complement the historic façade of the building.

This was achieved by using traditional materials such as granite setts and sandstone paving.

The design was kept simple to maximise the available space with a Laurel hedge providing a good degree of privacy and keeping maintenance to a minimum.
